7 Steps To Pack A Carry On Like A Pro

Travelling light hasn't always been my thing. I tend to get very excited about putting outfits together for trips, but inevitably end up wearing half of what I brought! The last europe trip my husband and I took I ended up with two 70lbs bags… big regret. Now, I am not about to travel to Europe with a carryon bag, but the next domestic trip we plan to take, I am challenging myself to pack only in a carryon, with these 7 steps to pack a carry-on like a pro.

  1. Use Packing Cubes - These help SO much in keeping all of your goods organized and helps utilize space.

  2. Roll baby roll! - In order to pack in these and maximize space, roll each of your items such as pants, shirts, underware. For bulkier items like sweaters or jackets, lay them flat in the cube, then put other items on top and fold the sweater/jacket around those items! Tuck shoes around the cubes in your bag.

  3. Pre-plan your looks - Trust me, you don’t need to bring your whole wardrobe. Pick out items that can be reworn with other pieces so you are mixing and matching. A cozy sweater can be layered with a dress as well as jeans. OR makes for the perfect lounging look with sweats!

  4. Use your WIPEYS Jetpack bag for toiletries - The great thing about the WIPEYS Jetpack bag is it is flat yet can store so much! I keep all of my 3-1-1 toiletries in one WIPEYS Jetpack bag and another bag filled with my WIPEYS + other travel necessities. Plus, I love that the bag is clear so TSA can see everything inside if needed without taking everything out.

  5. Utilize your airplane outfit - If there are any items, such as a jacket, shoes or a scarf that I really want to bring that won’t fit into my carryon bag I will just wear it on the plane! (A scarf is my favorite accessory to bring on the plane with me to keep cozy during the flight!)

  6. Hang your water bottle - I always carry my water bottle with me while travelling! Mine is a larger Hydro Flask which honestly isn't ideal to carry around, SO I use a carabiner to clip it onto my bag or backpack!

Accessible items - Make sure to pack the items you will want access while on the plane in your backpack/tote/purse that will go under the seat in front of you. When I first sit down on the plane I pull out my WIPEYS wipes and devices I plan to use. This way I can wipe down the surfaces around me, then wipe down my devices and clean my hands!
